Research: what 212+ client engagements actually teach about topical authority

Most SEO content is opinion dressed as advice. This hub is where that changes — original findings, patterns and data drawn from real practitioner work, published with methodology and limitations stated, not just conclusions.

01Why This Hub Exists

Nine years and 212+ client engagements produce a dataset most single-practitioner sites never publish — topical map outputs, entity gap patterns, and the interventions that actually moved a recovery. This hub is where that gets turned into research instead of staying locked in project files.

Each piece below states its sample, its method, and its limitations up front. That’s a deliberate standard: a claim like “topical maps outperform keyword lists” is only useful if you can see the conditions it was observed under — anything less is just an opinion with a percentage attached.
